McMenamins Lighthouse Brewpub is Located in a Strip Mall

Everyone always asks me to warn them when a McMenamins location is in a strip mall so….this location is in a strip mall. Even though this location is in a strip mall and from the outside looks pretty bland, it is totally different inside! McMenamins Lighthouse has two floors, with a large bar and brewery on the first floor, with outdoor space on both floors. The interior of McMenamins Lighthouse Brewpub is so cool!

On the first floor you can see into the brewery, there is a huge bar, and the decor is so very McMenamins. From the second floor you can see down into the first floor and bar area. There is crazy art, sculptures, and antique items all over so it is a really cool environment. Like all McMenamins, it also has really cool lighting.

So, yes this is a strip mall location, but the inside is really cool!

McMenamins Lighthouse Brewpub has its Own Brewery

McMenamins Lighthouse Brewpub is in fact a fully functioning brewpub which means it has to have a brewery. You will find the brewery on the first floor and with the glass wall, you can see right into it from many of the tables. McMenamins Lighthouse Brewery is a 6 barrel brewhouse and has been operating since 1986.

McMenamins Lighthouse Brewery brews a few of the McMenamins classics like Hammerhead and Ruby and the more limited Resilience Butte County Proud IPA and the Lighthouse Lager.

McMenamins Lighthouse Brewpub has a Coastal Menu

McMenamins Lighthouse Brewpub is one of only two McMenamins on the coast. Thankfully, McMenamins takes full advantage of its location and this spot has a very coastal menu. You will find some Oregon coastal favorites at Lighthouse Brewpub – think crab mac and cheese, cod fish and chips, ahi tacos, steamers, and of course, Lighthouse’s very own clam chowder.

My personal favorites are the Dungeness Crab Cakes and the Hogshead BBQ Salmon Sandwich. Of course, this is located in the middle of the Oregon chowder belt so I also wouldn’t miss out on a cup of the chowder.

You can get a Dilly Tuna or a McMenamins pizza almost anywhere, so when you visit Lighthouse Brewpub go for the Oregon coastal items! Of course, if fish isn’t your thing, you will find great burger options and  a lot of the McMenamins classics on the menu too.

McMenamins Lighthouse Brewpub is its Own Passport Region – And You MUST Use Your Prize Here

Attention McMenamins Passport Holders! This is a great stop for you! McMenamins Lighthouse Brewpub is is own region in the passport. Yes, I realize that is odd, but it is true. Since this McMenamins location is a bit independent, being the only location on the central Oregon coast – it has its own region. But if staying on the coast isn’t in the plans for you, Lighthouse Brewpub makes a great day trip from Salem, the Portland suburbs, or the North Oregon Coast! Make a road trip out of it and stop at some cool antique stores on your way and check out the beach in Lincoln City before you get back on the road.
